Change your workspace name, timezone and currency
Settings → Workspace → General holds the four settings that shape the whole workspace, and the card where you subscribe to Timebun and manage your plan. Only the Owner (shown as Portal admin in the app for now) sees this page.

The settings
- Name — what your team sees in the sidebar and the workspace picker. Two agencies can share a name.
- Workspace timezone — the day everyone follows unless they've set their own timezone on their profile. Whatever anyone's own timezone, it's the day used for a client's record: the client's Time tab and the portal timesheet, invoice dates and when an invoice is overdue, when hours expire, when a retainer renews, and the dates on a new invoice. It's also the day cost rates start on.
- Base currency — what a new client is billed in by default, and what costs and the default hourly rate are counted in. Clients, invoices and retainers you already have keep the currency they were priced in.
- Client messaging — one conversation per client, shared with their portal. Turn it off and the inbox closes for everybody, your team and your clients.
Change what you need, then click Save.
Changing the base currency when you have a default rate
The default hourly rate has no currency of its own, so switching the base currency would silently turn "150 USD" into "150 EUR". Timebun refuses the save instead, and tells you what to do:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Rates and clear the Default hourly rate. Click Save.
- Come back to General, pick the new Base currency and click Save.
- Return to Rates and enter the default rate again, in the new currency.
When a default rate is set, General shows it under the currency, with a link to the Rates page.
Your Timebun plan
Below Save is the Timebun plan card. Nothing on it is changed by Save. It shows:
- the plan your workspace is on, how it's billed, and a badge such as Trial, Active, Past due or Lapsed;
- your trial's last day while it runs, or the date your subscription renews or cancels;
- any add-on, and on Starter how many seats are paid and in use;
- every feature with On or Off, and where to get the ones that are off;
- File storage — how much your client files take up. See Client files and your plan.
From the card you Subscribe, Change plan and open Manage billing. See Timebun's plans, Subscribe to Timebun and Manage your Timebun billing. Every See your plan link in the app brings you here.
