How much of your time is billable?

Billable vs non-billable shows where your team's time went and what share of it you can charge for. Open it from Reports → Billable vs non-billable.

the Billable vs non-billable report grouped by member, with the share bars

Read the report

Each row is one person, client or project, biggest first:

  • Billable — hours you can charge for.
  • Non-billable — internal time and time marked non-billable.
  • Tracked — the two added together.
  • Billable share — the billable part as a bar and a percentage.

The Total row at the bottom is your whole team's billable share for the period. The same Billable and Tracked totals sit beside the filters.

The report measures time as it was tracked, not the rounded or adjusted figure that reaches an invoice. For billed hours and write-downs, use Team time.

Change the view

  1. Under Group by, click Member, Client or Project.
  2. Set From and To. The report opens on the current month.
  3. Narrow it with Member, Client, Project or Tags if you want. Each list has a search box.

When grouped by client, time with no client appears as Internal. When grouped by project, time with no project appears as No project.
