View and pay your invoices

Every invoice your agency sends you is also in your portal, with the option to pay it online.

Find your invoices

Click Invoices in the menu. For each invoice you see:

  • Status — Open (waiting for payment), Paid, Void (cancelled) or Overdue. A part-paid invoice says how much has been paid so far.
  • Type — for example Retainer, Top-up or Direct (billed for work done).
  • Period, Due date, Total and what's Outstanding.

Your latest invoices are also on Overview, under Recent invoices.

Pay an invoice

  1. Click Pay next to the invoice. If you've already paid part of it, the button says Pay the remaining and the amount.
  2. A secure payment page opens in a new tab. Pay with any of the ways it offers, such as card or bank debit — your agency chooses which.

The invoice shows Paid once the payment has gone through. The Pay button only appears while something is still owed.

Paying another way, such as by check or bank transfer? Your agency records the payment on the invoice when it arrives, and the invoice updates here.

The invoice email

If you're one of the people your agency sends invoices to, each invoice also arrives by email, headed Invoice number from your agency. It says the amount and when it's due, and has:

  • a Pay invoice button, which opens the same secure payment page;
  • a link to download the invoice as a PDF. For your security this link stops working after a while — about 30 days after the invoice is due, and never sooner than 30 days after the email. After that you see This link has expired; ask your agency for a fresh copy, or open the invoice in your portal instead.

Your agency may also send reminders, headed Reminder: or Overdue:, while an invoice is unpaid. A reminder shows how much is still due if you've paid part of it. Reminders stop once the invoice is paid.

You don't need a portal account to pay from the email. See also Pay or save a card from a link your agency sent.

Open an invoice

Click an invoice's number to see it in full:

  • Total, Outstanding and Hours billed.
  • Payments made against it so far, with the date and amount. A payment your agency recorded for you — a check, bank transfer, wire or cash — also shows how it was paid.
  • Credit notes — amounts your agency has taken off this invoice.
  • Your invoice — the invoice itself. Click Open PDF to open or save it.
  • The work behind this invoice — every line billed, with the project, hours and rate. Use Export CSV to download it.

To download a PDF straight from the list, click PDF on its row.
